Shawna M. Sullivan, age 42, a resident of Lebanon, Maine and formerly of Malden and Lowell, MA, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH with loved ones by her side. She was the life partner of Christopher J. Evans.
Born in Malden, MA on September 22, 1983, she was a graduate of St Mary’s School in Melrose MA and attended Pope John High School in Everett, MA
She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Christina Ann Evans, and surviving her in addition to Chris is her cherished daughter, Mackenzie Sullivan, her daughter from another Mother Brooke Fligg, two sisters, Kristen and her husband Faustino Travassos, and Hannah Buckley, a brother Chris and sister-in-law Danielle Simpson. Christophers’ loving family, John and Dottie Evans, John III and Jennifer Evans, Johnny and Juliana Evans, many nieces, nephews’ aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Her best friends John and Liz Grady, Devenalee Wilson, Betty Healey, and Amanda and Anthony Crowley. Shawna had many other dear friends and numerous acquaintances.
Shawna was an avid animal and bird lover. If given the opportunity she would have taken in any stray animal that would cross her path. She loved feeding the local birds, chipmunks and squirrels and sitting for hours watching them to the point that she literally would have them eating out of her hand.
She worked most of her life as an LNA in numerous nursing homes and home care facilities. She was also employed as a bus driver for special needs students out of Lowell. She always had a special place in her heart for those less fortunate and did everything in her power to help whoever crossed her path.
She will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Thursday, March 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Service will take place immediately following in the Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Her committal service will take place on Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
