Rosalba Marin Ospina
Rosalba Marin Ospina, age 86, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019, at the Lowell General Hospital with loved ones by her side. She was the wife of the late Abel J. Espinosa.
Born in Filadelfia, Caldas, Colombia, she was a daughter of the late Antonio J. Marin and the late Elvira Ospina.
She lived about half of her life in Colombia as teacher for arts and crafts, as well as tailoring veteran and instructor. She moved with her family to the United States in pursuit of a new life.
She worked in the housekeeping department at Englewood General Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey and stayed there for many years prior to her retirement.
She had great love for animals, enjoyed reading magazines and novels. Rosalba enjoyed helping and being there others around her
She is survived by four sons, Ruben D. Espinosa, Leon A. Espinosa, Carlos M. Espinosa, Victor H. Espinosa; three daughters, Beatriz Espinosa, Martha Espinosa and Mabel Espinosa; eighteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Olga Marin, Ofelia Marin and Consuelo Marin de Cordoba; also, many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Adolfo Marin, Omar Marin and Lady Marin.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Rosalba’s family on Saturday morning from 9:15 to 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Suffolk St., Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 10 a.m. For online condolences or directions, please visit www.martinfuneralhome.net
