Pauline A. (Genest) Abreu

DRACUT - Pauline A. (Genest) Abreu, age 83, a resident of Dracut and a former longtime resident of Lowell, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Louis N. Abreu Jr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. 

Born in Lowell on June 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Albani and Laurette A. (Chateaneuf) Genest.  Pauline was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell Trade School.

Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; her family was her entire world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a QC Inspector at Microwave Printed Circuitry (MPC) of Lowell.  In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and playing online games and was also an avid Patriots fan.

In addition to her husband Louis, she is survived by her three children and their spouses, Louis N. Abreu III and his wife Deborah of FL, Michael Abreu and his wife MaryJo of Dracut and Pamela Underwood and her husband James of Lowell; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Louis IV & Jennifer, Brian & Kristy, John & Lauren, Kaileigh, Elyssia, George and Bryan; ten great grandchildren, Beleza, Elyna, Liliana, Vincent, Emaya, Emily, Madalyn, Khalan, Kayleen and Gabriel; two dear cousins, Marc and Lynne Proulx and many dear friends.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitations.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Committal Service on Friday, June 2, at 12 noon in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Wounded Warrior Fund or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
