IRENE MOISAN

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt.

Lowell - Mrs. Irene C. (Richard) Moisan, age 93, a lifelong resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023. She was the wife of the late W. Donald Moisan, who died in 2016, whom she was married to for 64 years.

Born in Lowell on May 7, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Florina (Baillargeon) Richard, and was a graduate of Keith Hall.

For over 30 years, Irene was studio manager and seamstress at Dolly’s Dance World in Dracut. She was loved and respected by all.

A lady of dignity and grace, Irene was a devout catholic having been a longtime Parishioner of the former Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Parish.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, praying the rosary, hosting family and friends get togethers and holiday celebrations, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Irene is survived by a daughter and her son-in-law, Dolly Burchfield and her husband Bryan of Lowell; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susanne Moisan of Hamburg, Germany; five grandchildren, Jamieson, Kerry and Stephen Marcotte, Amanda Moisan, Angelina Moisan; her sister Pauline Carignan of Lowell; her late brother-in-law, Ronald Carignan; her brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Eva Richard of CA; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, May 12 at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Ave, Dracut. Burial will be private in St. Joseph cemetery, Chelmsford.
