Earle R. Connell, Jr.

TYNGSBOROUGH – Earle R. Connell, Jr., age 88, a lifelong resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was the husband of the late Joan (Vennard) Connell.

Born in Lowell on November 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Earle R. and Lillian (Dane) Connell, Sr. 

Earle enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1957 and received his honorable discharge in 1960.

He worked in construction for his entire career and was the founder of Connell Construction Corporation of Tyngsborough. 

Earle was an avid car enthusiast; and he enjoyed restoring antique Chrysler’s using his impeccable restoration skills that were self-taught for which he received many awards.  He also enjoyed woodworking, electronics, road trips and camping in his motor home with his family.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Donna Schena and her husband Michael, Scott Connell and his wife Diane and Sandra Coleman and her husband Kevin all of Tyngsborough; six grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel and Melanie Schena, Angela and Collin Greenwood, Ryan and Jen Connell, Lindsey and Bronson Madero, Holly and Christopher Donahue and Alex and Samantha Coleman; five great grandchildren, Otis, Ozzy, Aubrey, Knox and Jack; a sister, June Lewis of CA and several nieces and nephews.  He was also the brother of the late Gloria Connell. He also shared a special friendship and bond with his family caregiver Jill Powers.
