Hudson, NH - Alain J. Lacasse, age 65, a resident of Hudson, NH, died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA. He was the beloved husband of Jo-Ann (Lagasse) Lacasse with whom he recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Born in Ste. Aurelie, Quebec, Canada, on April 23, 1957, he was a son of the late Henri and Henriette (Vaillancourt) Lacasse.
Alain was a carpenter for more than 45 years, having worked throughout the New England area making several friendships with clients and fellow contractors. He was a very generous man and was always willing to give a helping hand to family, friends and anyone in need.
He loved the outdoors and fishing and was a long-time member of the Hudson Fish and Game Club. He also enjoyed listening to country music and looked forward to family gatherings.
Besides his wife, Alain is survived by five children, Caroline Lacasse (Eric Grenier), Melanie Lacasse, Johnny Lacasse (Annie Bernard), Vicky Lacasse (Antoine) all of Quebec and Tommy Lacasse (Stephanie Burton) of Hudson, NH; six grandchildren, Samuel, Christopher, William, Tricia, Olivier and Donovan; his brothers and sisters Gilles (Rejeanne Renauld) of Quebec, Yvon (Gisele Gilbert) of Nashua, NH, Huguette (Louis Paquet) of Quebec, Bertrand of Quebec, Jocelyne (Jeannot Hebert) of Quebec, Renald of Nashua, NH, Clemence (Henri Toulouse) of Quebec, Mario (Raymonde Garant) of Hudson, NH, Guy (Brigitte Gosselin) of Tyngsborough, MA, Sylvie of Quebec, Nancy (Mario Fortin) of Merrimack, NH, Tina of Brewer, ME and Shawn (Becky Clement) of Pittsfield, ME.
He was the brother-in-law of Doreen and Larry Mazzone of Chattanooga, TN, Donna and Gary Watson of Ocala, FL, Paul and Cindy Lagasse of Hudson, NH, Kevin Lagasse of Lowell, MA, Pam and Tom Simpson of Mt. Dora, FL, and Julie Lacasse of Nashua, NH. Alain is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Pauline Lagasse, his son-in-law, Ghislain Guenette, his brothers Andre, Jean-Noel and Roland Lacasse, his sisters, Suzie and Francine Lacasse, his brother-in-law, Andrea LePage, and his sister-in-law, Anne Lacasse.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough, MA 01879 on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Kathryn Parish, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH.
