Irene J. (Cote) Lacerte

resident of Lowell; age 96

Mrs. Irene J. (Cote) Lacerte, a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Lowell General Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Armand G. Lacerte.

Born in Lowell, on February 26, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (April) Cote.

She was educated in the Lowell School system and was a parishioner of the former Ste Jeanne D’Arc Church.

Prior to her retirement, she had worked for several years as a clerk at the 7-11 convenience store on Mammoth Road in Lowell.

Irene always enjoyed bingo and playing cards.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, George R. Lacerte of Lowell and Roland L. and Donna Lacerte of Hudson, NH; a grandson, Stephen J. Lacerte; two great grandchildren, James and Bella Lacerte; a sister, Yvette Goyette of Dracut; a brother and sister in law, Louis and Doris Cote of Lowell; a sister in law, Doris (Thellen) Cote of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Leo, Arthur and Albert Cote.

LACERTE – died in Lowell on Nov. 19, 2016.  Mrs. Irene J. (Cote) Lacerte, age 96, a resident of Lowell and wife of the late Armand G. Lacerte.  Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket Street, Lowell on FRIDAY from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Road, Lowell.
