1948 - 2017

CHELMSFORD – Dimas M. Amarante, died on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Lowell General Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Susan A. (Kuzirian) Amarante.

Born in Terceira Island, Portugal on September 25, 1948, he was the son of the late Joao Francisco and Celestina Amarante.

Dimas was a longtime resident of Chelmsford and was employed as a machine operator for Americraft Carton Inc. in Lowell.

He was a member of the Portuguese American Club Blues and Reds.  Dimas enjoyed fishing and he loved spending time with his loving wife Susan, children and grandchildren.  He will always be remembered for being such a character.

Surviving him in addition to his wife Susan are two sons, Jeff S. Amarante of Tyngsborough and Scott S. Amarante of Lowell; his three loving grandchildren and another due in early October.

AMARANTE– Dimas M. Amarante.  Relatives and friends may call at the R. W.
