Thoai Nham Ma

of Lowell; age 91

Thoai Nham Ma, age 91, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus. He was the husband of the late Hao Thu Ma who died in August of 2014.

Born in Can Tho, Vietnam on June 10, 1924, he was a son of the late Sen Ma and Ky Thi Truong. He worked in law enforcement for South Vietnam before immigrating to the United States in 1980.

He was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church.

Prior to his retirement, Thoai worked as a facilities manager for the First Baptist Church in Lynn.

Surviving him are a son and daughter in law, Khai H. and Dao Ma of Lawrence; five daughters, Buu X. Ma and her husband Dien Tran of  Dracut, Ha X. Tran and her husband Tuong Tran of Salem, NH, Dung X. Nguyen and her husband Be Nguyen of Waltham, Nancy X. Le and her husband Michael Le of Lowell and Lynn B. Wilde and her husband Pat Wilde of TX; fifteen grandchildren, Lap-Anh, Ho-Anh, Ho-Thao, Diana, Lynn, Caroll, Peter, Noel, Amy, Jennifer, Brian, Teddy, Timmy, Soleil and Robert; eleven great grandchildren, Chase, Lysabeth, Milah, Summer, Quinn, Emily (Buu Buu), Leila, Olivia, Madeleine, Jacqueline and Ace. He was also the father of the late Khuong H. Ma who died in 2006.

MA– Thoai Nham Ma.  Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.  Funeral Saturday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 o’clock at St. Patrick Church, 282 Suffolk St., Lowell.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
