LOWELL - Sister Jeannine Paquette (Jean du Carmel), age 95, a member of the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa for 70 years, died on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the D’Youville Senior Care Center, Lowell, after a brief illness.
Born in Hull, QC, on September 14, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Emile and Eva (Cousineau) Paquette.
Sister Jeannine taught elementary grades in Haverhill, MA and at Ste Jeanne d’Arc and St. Joseph Schools in Lowell. After her retirement from teaching she served in various capacities at St. Joseph Residence in Lowell.
She is survived by two sisters, Lucille Dalphond of Joliette, QC and Lise Crilly and her husband Robert of Granby, QC; three brothers, Jacques and his wife Therese of Gatineau, QC, Raymond and his wife Nicole of Joliette, QC and Pierre and his wife Marguerite of New Brunswick; also several nieces and nephews in Canada.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Residence, 977 Varnum Avenue on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock in the Chapel of D’Youville Life and Wellness Community, 981 Varnum Ave, Lowell. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, the Sisters suggest either a Mass offering or memorial donations in her name to the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa, Retirement Fund, 245 University Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
