Richard F. Mc Lean

Richard F. McLean of Hampstead, NH passed peacefully at Parkland Medical Center, Derry NH following a battle with Cancer and COPD on October 10, 2016. Born on May 2, 1939 to parents Theresa (Mellon) McLean and Alexander McLean.  Richard grew up in the Greater Lowell area.  Retired from Notini & Sons in Lowell, MA, also worked at Lawrence Manufacturing in Lowell, MA.

His favorite hobbies included gardening, play cards, cribbage, darts and bowling.  He loved country music, dancing and cooking especially on St. Patrick’s Day. He shared his love for cribbage and darts with his youngest daughter Pam. He was looked after by his sister Barbara and friend Joanna.

Richard (Red) is survived by his children Pam (Tremblay) Carleton, Sandra Daniels, Catherine Lochrie and her husband Alan, Theresa Kaufman and her husband David, Richard McLean Jr. and his wife Janet, Michael McLean, his best friend and Sister, Barbara Hardy and her husband Roger, his sisters Marion Collin, Dorothy Brookes, as well as James and Denise Lufkin, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  His longtime friends and neighbors Nancy Tremblay, Joanna McConnell and family, Donna Sharp, Ron Eaton, and Jerry Belanger.

He was preceded in death his parent, his longtime companion Francis “Fran” Lufkin, his parents, his brothers Stewart and William McLean, his sisters Judy, Margaret, and  Patricia McLean.

Please join us on October 23, 2016 at 5:00 PM for a dedication Mass will be held at St. Rita’s Church on Mammoth Road in Lowell, MA .
