resident of Chelmsford; age 73

CHELMSFORD – Raymond V. Bergeron, age 73, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died quietly at his home on Saturday, November 14, 2015, surrounded by loved ones after a long illness.  He was the husband of Eileen T. (Saucier) Bergeron.

Born in Lowell on March 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Victor A. and Helen P. (Pratt) Bergeron.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a diesel mechanic by the M.B.T.A.

Raymond enjoyed his recliner, crossword puzzles, watching sports and trips to Foxwoods.  He also used to be an avid bowler and disco dancer.  He was happiest when family and friends would drop by.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are his children, Kimberly and her husband Kevin Rudy of Dracut, Michele and her husband John LaPlante of Nashua, Eric Saucier and his wife Christine of Edison, NJ, Melanie Tompkins and her partner Carl Chojnowski of Lowell, Kevin R. and his wife Claire Bergeron of NH, Michael J. Bergeron of FL and Russell Bergeron of CA; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Stephen, Tierney, Ashley, Dillon, Tara, Matthew, Jack, Elizabeth and Samantha; one great grandchild; a sister and brother in law, Rita “Dolly” and Edmund “Moe” Lausier of Dracut; also several nieces and nephews.

BERGERON – died in Chelmsford on Nov. 14, 2015.  Mr. Raymond V. Bergeron, age 73, husband of Eileen T. (Saucier) Bergeron.  Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket Street, Lowell on Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m.  ATTENDANT PARKING.  His committal service will be held on Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
