Norman J. LeBel

of Lowell; age 85

Mr. Norman J. LeBel, age 85, a resident of Lowell, died at his home on August 9, 2016, after a brief illness. 

Born in Lowell, on November 30, 1930, he was a son of the late Thuribe and Cecile (Lebel) LeBel.

Norman was a veteran of Korean War, having served in the Air Force from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1954.

Norman was a Brother with the Franciscan Order having served in the Holy Name Province in Providence, Rhode Island for over 18 years.

Prior to his retirement, he worked in the Environmental Service Department at St. Joseph Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island

Surviving him are a brother in law, Donald A. Bergeron, with whom he resided; and his nieces and nephews. 

He was also the brother of the late Paul LeBel, Reinette B. Bergeron and Claudette Daneau.

LEBEL – Mr. Norman J. LeBel.  According to his wishes, there will be no visitation.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
