Loving mother, sister and friend

Jacqueline “Jamie” Michelle Brown, age 59, resident of Lowell, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Born in New York City on Thursday, July 17, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Postell) Brown.

A longtime resident of Lowell, she touched many lives and countless people were able to call Jamie their friend.

Jamie was employed by the National Parks Service for over 30 years. She was an avid reader, talented seamstress, quilter, knitter and cook-extraordinaire. She loved music, comedy, and had an incredible affinity towards animals.

She was a patient, proud and joyful mother and will be remembered lovingly by her four children, Ian F. Brown, Reid C. Homer, Zachary C. Homer and  Karima Brown Herd all of Lowell as well as her beloved dachshund Oscar. She is also survived by her five siblings; Elizabeth Alleyne of Nashua, NH, Charles Brown of Revere, Robert Brown of Cambridge, Carol Brown of San Diego, CA and Herbert Brown of Nashua, NH; and many nieces and nephews.

BROWN – In accordance with her wishes, services will be held privately on Saturday for her family and friends.  Those wishing may make a memorial donation in her name to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854.
