Irene M. (Lambert) Lacourse

of Dracut, age 102

DRACUT – Mrs. Irene M. (Lambert) Lacourse, age 102, a longtime resident of Dracut, died on Friday afternoon, April 15, 2016 at a local healthcare facility.  She was the wife of the late Omer J. Lacourse.

Born in Lowell on November 12, 1913, she was a daughter of the late George and Marie (Guillemette) Lambert.

Irene was a longtime communicant of St. Francis Parish in Dracut.  She was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens and she enjoyed knitting, baking, ceramics and pottery.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for the former Suffolk Knitting Company.

She is survived by her brother, Henry I. Lambert of Dracut with whom she resided; several nieces and nephews, among those Doris Fortune; her caretaker and great niece, Lisa M. Greenwood and her son Peter; also a dear cousin, Carol Turner.

She was also the sister of the late Wilfred, Leo, William, Edward, Ernest, Antonio, Orise Craig, Yvonne Dube and Lucille Machado.

LACOURSE – Mrs. Irene M. (Lambert) Lacourse.  Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Francis Parish, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated immediately following at 11 o’clock.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
