George W. “Junior” Taylor

 

 

DRACUT - Mr. George W. Taylor, Jr., age 89, resident of Dracut and a former longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home.

Born in Lowell on April 24, 1928 he was a son of the late George W. and Bernice (Williams) Taylor, Sr.

He was educated in the Lowell School system and was a member of the Pawtucket Congregational Church.

George had worked at Stoddard’s Bakery and was an attendant for nursing facilities in the Lowell area.

Junior will be remembered for his great laugh and sense of humor. For many years, Junior would spend time with his cousin Barbara taking a ride to his favorite eating establishments across greater Lowell.

He is survived by two cousins, Barbara Tanner of Pelham whom was his care giver and Nancy Varnum of FL; as well as many dear friends.

He was the brother of the late Shirley Taylor, nephew of the late Elizabeth Taylor and Everett and Loretta Taylor and cousin of the late Robert Taylor.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Mental Health Association of Greater Lowell, for their care and kindness during Juniors final days.

 

TAYLOR– Friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Wednesday, May 31, at 1 p.m. in the Oakland Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Dracut.  A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements by the R.
