Mr. Eugene J. Carbonneau, age 75, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died unexpectedly at his home, on April 30, 2016.
Born in Westford, on June 11, 1940, he was a son of the late William J. and Adella (Create) Carbonneau.
Eugene was an active parishioner of the Parish of Saint Rita, where he was a regular attendee of the 10 am mass and for several years had assisted with collecting.
He was an avid car enthusiast and was a former member of the Mammoth Road Car Club.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for several years by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, at their former retreat house in Hudson, NH.
Surviving him are a brother and sister in law, William “Bill” and Frances Carbonneau of Dracut; two sisters and a brother in law, Elaine and Steve Nichols of Lowell and Thelma Bowman of MO; also several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Robert Carbonneau, Sylvio Carbonneau, Paul Carbonneau, Norman Carbonneau, Dorothy Lambert, Shirley Allard, Mildred Thompson, Pauline Bassett, Gloria Konomich.
CARBONNEAU – Mr. Eugene J. Carbonneau. Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. His funeral mass will take place immediately following at 11 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Road, Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Westford.
