Doris L. (St. Hilaire) Ramsey

Mrs. Doris L. (St. Hilaire) Ramsey, age 92, a resident of Lowell, died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was predeceased by her husband, Stu Ramsey.

Born in Lowell, on January 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Ida (Dumont) St. Hilaire.

Formerly a resident of Manchester, NH, Doris lived a long and fulfilled life.  An avid craftswoman, her life’s pride was the house she built by hand with her husband Stu, on Crystal Lake in Manchester, NH. Doris was a loyal family woman. She loved her brothers and sister very much, as well as her step children and three generations of nieces and nephews. Doris loved to reminisce about her days living out West and about her ancestry in Canada.  She was the family historian.

She is survived by a sister, Estelle Dubois of Lowell; a brother and sister in law, Robert “Bob” and Terry St. Hilaire of CA; her step children, Lorna, Bradley and Amy Jo Ramsey; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even great-great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Gladys Nicolosi of Methuen and her brother Maurice St. Hilaire of Westford.
