She was a parishioner of the former St. Jeanne d’Arc Church for over 60 years and more recently of the Parish of Saint Rita.

As a young woman, she worked for insurance companies in Concord, MA, Nashua, NH and Lowell.  Later, she was a participating founder of the original Lowell Association for Retarded Children (LARC), now Life Links, serving as a director and Treasurer for several decades.  As a strong advocate for those with special needs, she visited homes for special needs children transferring out of state institutions and reported on their condition.  She also visited with new mothers of special needs babies informing them of available services.
