   Arthur M. Barlow, age 88, a longtime resident of Lowell, died suddenly on Wednesday morning, April 27, 2016 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Natalie J. (Mead) Barlow, having shared 57 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Salem, MA on January 19, 1928 he was a son of the late Charles H. and Gertrude E. (Tallant) Barlow.

He was educated in the Auburn, Maine, school system and worked for many years as a security officer for the Raytheon Company.

Arthur was a longtime member of the Highlands Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lowell. He will long be remembered for his kindness and gentleness and the genuine love and affection he always had for family and friends.

Arthur was a skilled dancer and avid gardener.  He always enjoyed a good game of cards or crossword puzzle and loved taking his wife out to lunch or dinner whenever possible, often several times a week.

 

Surviving him in addition to his wife Natalie are three sons, Scott A. Barlow of Billerica, Wayne G. Fournier and his wife Terri of Topsham, ME and Roger L. Fournier and his wife Nancy of Lisbon Falls, ME; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew; sister-in-law Carole Travers; brother-in-law Wayne Evans, and many dear friends.

He was also the brother of the late Harrison Barlow, Shirley Houghton and Marion Spera.


BARLOW –  Mr. Arthur M. Barlow. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 559 Pine St., Lowell. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kingdom Hall, 559 Pine Street, Lowell, MA 01851.
